About Us
To a child the pre-school years are a time of wonder and exploration; a time to learn and play. Our pre-school offers children a chance to have fun, make friends and learn through a varied programme of stimulating and enjoyable activities, using a range of resources all tailored to this age group.
Our overall aim as a pre-school is to enhance the development and education of children below statutory school age within a parent and staff managed community based group in close co-operation with parents.
We aim to:
- Provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age
- Work in partnership with parents to help children to learn and develop
- Add to the life and well-being of our local community
- Offer children and their parents a service which promotes equality and values diversity
As a member of Collingham and District Pre-School, your child:
- Is in a safe and stimulating environment
- Is given generous care and attention, because of our high ratio of adults to children
- Has the chance to join with other children and adults to play, work and learn together
- Can access a specially tailored curriculum leading to the Early Learning Goals
- Is helped to take forward his/her learning and development by being helped to build on what he/she already knows and can do
- Has a personal key person who helps your child make progress in all areas
- Is in a pre-school which sees you as a partner in helping your child to learn and develop
- Is in a pre-school in which parents help to shape the service it offers
